Authentic Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony & Traditional Cooking Masterclass
Immerse yourself in the heart of Ethiopian culture with an intimate, hands-on masterclass combining two of the country's most cherished traditions: the coffee ceremony and authentic cooking. We will begin by welcoming you with a traditional incense aroma as we sit around a traditional grass table (mesob). You will learn the art of roasting raw green coffee beans over hot coals, grinding them by hand using a wooden mortar and pestle (mukecha), and brewing the rich roast in a clay pot (jebena). While enjoying your freshly poured cups alongside traditional snacks, we will transition into preparing a classic Ethiopian lunch. You'll learn how to balance the rich spices of berbere, simmer a flavorful stew, and master the proper way to enjoy a meal laid out on fresh injera.
